Be aware of it and craft that subject line to get the attention you want, not the attention you don’t want.
It is better for someone to ignore it and delete the e-mail than to share it with disdain.
I am not saying that the art of marketing isn’t complicated. There is always a wing and a prayer with a little bit of hope that people will “get it” – but they don’t always.
So, do yourself a super-favor and run it by someone else first.
- Do they understand it?
- Does it resonate?
- Do they see what you see?
Then, let it sit for a bit before you send it. You will potentially see something that you need to change.
Or, you will let it go and then, it will either fly into inboxes with resounding success and a double digit click rate or…be deleted.
Hopefully anyway.
That subject line is important. It is the hook with the most attention-getting words. They matter more than you might think so make sure they’re the right ones.
