Every year, every major holiday happens on a set schedule. If you are planning ahead, you can take time off without worries. Finish your projects on time, leave early and relax…all weekend long.

We are at a point where our weekend getaways are sometimes random and spur of the moment, but more often planned.  It’s easier now, the kids are older, we have more discretionary income and freedom from toddler demands.  

Every year, we spend time with good friends from college and we, after twenty years, have gotten better at planning ahead.  It’s our annual July 4th weekend and getting ready for the big party tomorrow, but we are already thinking about the next weekend and where to go.  Enjoying the holiday, but thinking about the next.
