Longer to Edit

Sure. I have played around with some of the Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence. Who hasn’t? (A lot probably. Or, I could be wrong.) But. In the end. It definitely takes longer to edit than if I had written it myself.

Fact.

I have timed it.

So, it isn’t quite there yet.

As you can imagine I write in other areas of my life, both personally and professionally.

Although not used here, in other writing that I do sometimes, like the short form stuff, just needs a fresh spin. Production work. Promotional titles. A new way to say the same thing. A more clear and concise e-mail. (Well, maybe not that. I asked, it already said they were fine.)

Or, instead of doing an online search. Craft a seasonal cocktail. Prepare a list of gifts a teenager may want this year for their birthday, or graduation, or Christmas maybe.

The list(s) goes (go) on.

Yesterday, I started playing around with images. Just for fun. I don’t add images to this blog anymore as a general rule. Often it took longer to find the right image than it took to write. So, I stopped. (Also, it used up more memory and took slightly longer for the site to load.)

The creative in AI generated images needs a lot of work, too. However, it has come a LONG way in just a short few years since I first heard the word DALL E (or, is this a name?) Either way. One of the earliest I heard of in the industry.

For fun, I will share. (What do you think?)

I know that this image would take longer to edit to get it to the point I would want it to look, but it would have taken far longer to get to this point than the 4.5 minutes the AI software used to create it.
