Why is it that you must always have an account login field on your website?
I mean, okay, it isn’t really a question. I know the answer.
But come on folks. I have so many passwords and user names and they are all different to protect the innocent that it is next to impossible to remember them all.
If all I have to do is request a reset to my password each and every time I use your site (once every year or maybe, on a semi-annual basis!) Am I really worth you keeping me in your database? You know that I delete your e-mails, too, right?
I see why some of the brands just gave up and let us log in with Facebook or Twitter (or maybe it is Google+, sure that makes sense, too.)
They are so marvelous. I may not love the idea that Facebook knows everything, but it is more than likely in reality that they do. Furthermore, if they don’t know, then Google certainly does.
Oh, the angst of the phrase, the box with the headings: Account Login. Of course, I am speaking as a customer. As a marketer…rock on dudes. That’s the way to do it.
