Do you remember that time…

Yes, the one specifically that they mention. Kids do remember. They are like elephants. They never forget.

• Promises made.
• Places they didn’t get to go (and even desserts that were denied.)
• Parties that didn’t turn out the way they wanted.

Fortunately, they also are able to recall the fun, festive and downright hilarious things as well.

• Vacations taken.
• Family dinners, the food, the conversation (and dessert they helped make.)
• Holiday and birthday celebrations.

Hey, remember that time…when we were all together and you were little? Yes, vividly. I am glad you can, too. Of course, we do have photos, but they are just the nudge, the inspiration for the brain to recall the conversations. Add in the music or the scent and you have even more detail – as if you are right back there – in that moment in time.
