Closing the Loop

Normally, closing the loop on outstanding communication, deliverables and commitments is a good thing.

  • You may be lingering over the work needed.
  • You could be rushing to get it done on time.
  • You might be moving at an even keel – not in a rush nr taking too much time.

When people get stressed out, they do things that are not well thought out, not planned, nor best in everyone’s interests (their own and others.)

They may still feel obligated, or they may be selfish. They may just be in too much of a hurry to be practical.

In the suburbs, grid-locking a circular driveway entrance, literally closing the loop by blocking the exit is a bad decision, no matter the reason…it doesn’t serve anyone. In the city…they will fine you. So, it depends on what you are doing – being in the loop is good, the other one, not so much.
