Will you drive out of your way for a brand?

Will you drive out of your way for a brand?

If so, how far?

Whether it is your favorite department store (Target), grocery chain (Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Wegman’s of which NONE are close to us), gas station (Sunoco – again, not close to us at all), coffee shop (Starbucks – sorry Dunkin’ it isn’t you), shoe store (DSW), movie theater (Regal or The Ritz), hotel (Marriott or Renaissance), pizza (Jules Thin Crust), Chinese restaurant (Hong Kong Pearl), restaurant (too many to mention but Talula’s Table is over an hour and a half, so once or twice a year is ok)… the list goes on and on.

But, if your favorite place isn’t right around the corner, or on your way to work, on  your way home, or where you need to be next. How far will you drive? 5 miles, 10 miles, 30 miles.

The farther you will go, the more brand loyal you are and they must – Must – MUST have done something to earn that gift from you. They should say thank you. Hopefully they do.  The good ones will…and maybe, just maybe they will know how loyal their customers are and open a new location closer to you. Or, maybe you will move. It all depends on how loyal and how important it is to you.
