It takes two to make a pair.

Of shoes.

Maybe boots?

Mittens, warm woolen ones.

Or, gloves?

And definitely socks – low around the ankle or all the way up to the knees.

Sure, it takes two to make a pair, but the best ones I know include a couple of humans.
