Some days don’t go the way you want them to go. No matter what happens, most of them are still pretty great.

Also, if completely depends on your perspective. I don’t mean to sound like life, for anyone, is perfect. It isn’t. From personal experiences, to work, to raising kids, caring for aging parents. It is hard.

Plus, there is always someone out there who has it harder than you do.

This of course, doesn’t mean that you can’t feel bad every once in a while. Life can be sad, it can be frustrating, it can be confusing. It can make your head throb and your teeth ache.

But then, there are those days… The kids all do their homework on time. Your aging mom shows improvement in her recovery. Your clients say thank you and that you did a great job. Traffic is pretty light coming home from wherever you were. Dinner goes off without a hitch. The dishes are done and the kitchen is clean. You are free to relax and read a book, catch the game (if so inclined) or watch a movie.

Yes. Those are the days that you have moments of absolute clarity, peace and happiness when most everything goes well and you can just sit, watch the sunset while overlooking the bay.

Those are the times that are still pretty great, even if there was a palm tree in the way of your perfect sunset.
