You should have everyday, small goals that you want to accomplish. They can be unspoken, and just part of your daily routine.
Brush your teeth and take a shower
Make sure the kids get to and from school
Respond to clients and co-workers with answers to their easy questions, let them know if their inquiry will take more time
Keep the car filled with at least as much gas as you need for the day’s trips (such as taking the kids to or from school)
Have a second cup of coffee, and enjoy the first one, leisurely before you dive into the e-mails, tasks and your to do list
Hug and kiss your loved ones, and say I love you (and mean it)
These are the important ones…the small goals that make good habits and create happiness – the bigger, longer term goals take more planning but no more effort or desire to make them happen.
