When you see the same faces but the management has changed, you know those people are the ones who make it work. The ones who know the ins and outs – and the secrets.

Every day, those are the people who show up to do the hard work.

The ones who know the customers and can greet them by name. They know if you like hot or iced coffee, to sit by the window or at the back of the restaurant in the quiet spaces.

Furthermore, they know whether you will be nice, patient and pleasant.

They know who tips well and does not tip at all.

In case you were wondering, always tip well…especially for breakfast.

They will definitely recognize the same faces those who are regulars – whether they will smile when they show up, or be grouchy. It doesn’t hurt to be the ones to make others happy; to be welcomed back, time and time again.
