When you run your own show, you can always promote you, your successes and shout it out to the world – you just have to do it.
Walgreens supported the very first “Red Nose Day” on Thursday May 21 – the campaign ran on TV commercials, in-store, and online for about five weeks. Just a day after the promotion ended (you can of course still donate, and if available in store, buy a red nose) their commercials changed to a message of thanks – for helping them raise “millions” for the organization. They don’t have to say how much, and each time that ad runs, the amount goes up…which is even better.
While not an advertisement for Walgreens, in each promo spot for the charity to end childhood poverty, they still promoted themselves, and where you can find them: “at the corner of happy and healthy.” Why shouldn’t you promote you? If you don’t, who else will?
