Pedal to the Metal

When the phrase “pedal to the metal” is spoken to you.

By your own child.

Who (actually) has a license to drive.

But, not their own car.

And the one they drive is just about as old as they are (not really, but if I think about it, pretty close).

They shouldn’t know that phrase.

At least, not to speak it accurately, the car is not THAT old.

Turns out, a golf cart is a very accurate way to experience having the pedal to the metal. Yet, there is still feeling you should start a Fred Flintstone assist in order to actually make it move. Turns out, they go just about as fast down hill with or without the gas engaged. Part of the design? I think not.
