It is totally fine to say no, but much better to just say yes first.

Sometimes however, there is a negative before the positive. 

As in, the answer we received to our posed inquiry, “does that come with whipped cream?” 

“No, but we can certainly add it.” Luckily (for them), no additional charge, on our $5 cup of chilled espresso. It is so easy to say yes, why don’t we lead with that?
