When you open your mind to options and try new things, you can actually develop new favorites. In this case, sweet potato donuts with simple sugar glaze…balanced out (hopefully) by egg proteins of the scrambled form.
Today was a great day – at least I thought so – and a lot of work was accomplished. It was a week of long days of work, also jam packed with delicious food, deep conversation and a few long car rides.
Now, I’m getting the wonderful opportunity to visit with my sister in her new home and spending a couple of hours with cousins, nieces and nephews. She is introducing me to their new favorites for everything from dinner to work place and tomorrow for a breakfast spot after a brief glimpse of a zen retreat house. Of course, that is after tonight’s rather surprising view of their big, wide open sky full of stars. Look out Texas…this is New Hampshire.
