After you find out just a little about something, do you want to learn some more, or just move on?

I usually want to go a little deeper. Do some more research.

When I find out that a story was based on history, or real events, it never ceases to amazes me.

Not just, it happened “to a friend of a friend” of some made up story online.

Truth – maybe embellished a little – but mostly true.

Historical fiction allows for the author to add their creative flair. My guess is that they stick as close to the story as they can. There just are not enough facts to tell the entire tale based on truth, so they invent scenarios that “fit” with the research they can find.

They took the time to learn some more, make it interesting enough that we want to, too. At least, I do. Results may vary of course. You know where you will find me…online, down a rabbit hole, seeking to understand just a bit more. Talk to you later. I will share what I find.
