Today is the first day of school. Even though – yes, it is still summer – the nice little treat is that there is a 3 day weekend in just 2 more days. They are going to need it. But, before they get to enjoy their days off they will see what’s new. Even though the school(s) have been there for ages and they’ve all been there before…it’s all new to them.

Wish them luck. Tell them to have fun. Be willing to learn. (Have fun…)

New classroom, new teacher, new dynamic of the group of kids – even with the ones they know from when they were in preschool.

We’ve been there, too. (We may not remember our first day of 4th, 7th or 10th grade… but we were there.)  How about the first time we started a new job, joined an art studio “class” for a night out, a restaurant for the first time. Whatever…we have been there.

Some of you are there right now. It’s all new to you, too. I start working with a new client today. I hope that I (along with the extended team I also support) can help them enjoy the process.

If you haven’t done anything new in a while, step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

It’s a whole new year.
