I am not sure who coined the term, but I have seen it in a few restaurants. Regardless of who, where or when…the home mades may mean:

Hand sliced, hand cooked potato chips.

Or, anything that is made by hand instead of from a package…

Not something from the freezer aisle.

Or, anything that isn’t take out.

Tonight’s home mades means dinner – delivered by a friend – two kinds of ravioli, caprese salad and bacon mac n’ cheese. Our many thanks, for healthy, happy and easy to enjoy – dinner with family, fueled by the love and the good spirits of friends.
