Floating Billboard

There is a first time for everything, right? Well, today is the first time I’ve ever seen this. Since I started the week with roadside observations, which lead to billboards in some way or another… I figured I’d share something you also may not know. You may just have to make a trip to the beach to see this – a digital floating billboard.

Different than the roadside digital version – these slowly S-L-O-W-L-Y float past you as you watch. More eyeballs on each ad than if driving by? Probably not, but a longer view than the banner planes who are 100% dedicated to one brand at a time. There was a permanent sign on the boat, too, featuring none other than the widely popular, local spot from Philly that has expanded and expanded (Chickie’s & Pete’s).

Maybe, just maybe, it’s their boat, and they’re paying for a little holiday by selling floating billboard space. Ok, probably not; but if you like the water, it could be an idea to help you pay for your hobby.
