It’s getting to that time of year, of graduations and celebrations and moving on… Of course, you should always be aware of where you started and your surroundings. Be safe. Be practical. Be respectful… but don’t look back.
You can’t change what you did when you were 18 or 21 or even 27. You can’t even change what you did 5 minutes ago.
(Maybe that last half of the cheeseburger was too much and you’ll regret it later…)
No matter what – you have to just keep going, moving forward and making the future better.
Better for you, your family and those around you.
Made a mistake?
Ok, own it. Fix it if you can.
Picked the wrong college? The wrong degree? The wrong job?
Choose another, or do something even if just temporarily, to help you decide what to do next.
Go home if you must (they will welcome you with open arms, at least we will if they won’t.)
Learn from what didn’t work.
If you always look back, you might just stand still…
Just because you made a mistake doesn’t mean you have to keep looking in the rear, (or side) view mirror…don’t look back. Look ahead instead and reach forward toward the future – to a brighter tomorrow, a better future for you and the rest of us.
