Dessert First

It is okay to eat dessert first.

You do not even need to eat a balanced diet, or have dinner later (that same day).

But, as a best practice:

  • Decide early.
  • Invite the kids to join you.
  • Let it be a special occasion.
  • Commit to it.
  • Make it part of vacation.

Think about it…dessert might not be all that different from:

  • Pancakes with syrup.
  • A bowl of frosted cereal.
  • Raspberry danish twist.
  • Emptying the freezer and eating the rest of the pint before you leave the rental unit.
  • Caramel (hot or iced) latte with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle.

Having a dessert first mentality is up to you, but more fun when others join you. Choose wisely and then be happy with what you decided to enjoy – I recommend the cookie dough sundae.
