It is okay to eat dessert first.
You do not even need to eat a balanced diet, or have dinner later (that same day).
But, as a best practice:
- Decide early.
- Invite the kids to join you.
- Let it be a special occasion.
- Commit to it.
- Make it part of vacation.
Think about it…dessert might not be all that different from:
- Pancakes with syrup.
- A bowl of frosted cereal.
- Raspberry danish twist.
- Emptying the freezer and eating the rest of the pint before you leave the rental unit.
- Caramel (hot or iced) latte with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle.
Having a dessert first mentality is up to you, but more fun when others join you. Choose wisely and then be happy with what you decided to enjoy – I recommend the cookie dough sundae.
