Curb Appeal

Curb appeal can be like a book cover…you’ve got to go inside to see what it’s really like.

If you see the facade of the building, the original building that has been on the site since 1950, and it looks just like the new ones added in 2005 and 2012 you may wonder why. Why not be vintage and true to the architectural style of the 1950s and spend the money on the infrastructure!?!

Rehabilitating a building takes more than slapping stucco and fake columns to create curb appeal. While I agree that a “modern take” on older buildings can be marvelous, if they don’t take it all the way through to execution, it will be an utter disaster. Lessees, like readers, will eventually know the truth behind the front door.
