Tis the season for creative ideas. Halloween is JUST around the corner and if you have not yet come up with a costume, you still have time.
Think of a theme you like. Or a mood. Then, run down the things that would make you happy if you were to be able to pull off the character or idea.
It doesn’t have to be basic – but sometimes the cutest is the old standby of a pumpkin, cat, or a witch. Then again, a clever phrase written on a cardboard cut out, worn like a 1920s sandwich board might just be the next-level solution.
- What was your favorite movie, binge watch, book or meme this year?
- How about the superhero you have looked up to since you were a kid?
- Is there a character from history, literature or the media you could pull off?
- Maybe just shapes, colors, flowers or fauna that you can explain easily.
Get out on paper or in a digital note your most creative ideas and then, set your budget low. This is just one day a year, with one or two parties. The execution doesn’t have to be perfect and it definitely should not break the bank.
