In some circles, it is who not what you know.

However, in most areas of our lives – the true reality of living here – this does not hold true. Not at least the way it has been touted or has been classified by “high society” and the “movers and shakers” in the world.

Those big names of the rich and famous, aka the “power” people – from celebrities to politicians and magnates of business and industry – they are just a blip in everyday life.

But.

The ones you know, the friends, family and colleagues… the ones who really (truly) know you, are the ones who matter most.

In that case, it is indeed – who not what – you know that will take you far. They will laugh with you. They will celebrate you. They will promote you to others. They will also rescue you when needed. And, overall, they will make your life oh, so much better. Hang on to those people and stop listening to the others.
