Honesty, some days I really don’t care what’s for dinner.
As long as we eat. Together.
As long as there is some kind of vegetable. Any kind.
Potatoes count. Ketchup does not.
Actually potatoes count, but chopped scallions count more.
Preferably, I will cook – if someone else takes on (voluntarily) clearing the table, setting it and emptying the dishwasher.
When we start getting closer and closer to 6PM, then 6:30 and 7PM…even though we work from home, even though the kids are perfectly old enough to help, even though the fridge and pantry are full of options. Every night it is the same.
What’s for dinner? is the only constant in this home.
