There are many things that can happen in your life where you are too late. Late for a meeting, late for a flight, late for a train – for these things, it can be too late to participate. However, for many things it is never too late – things like telling some one you love them, thanking a customer, being honest about a design before it prints or changing how you handle life’s situations.
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day – still, it is not too late to do what you have to do – what you want to do and what you should do.
- Call that customer – tell them the gift will arrive today with a bonus gift for their love and savings to come back again next month.
- Call or go see the person you should have hugged and said “I love you” – any day is a good day for that statement – not just on happy hearts day…
- Tell your co-worker, client or boss that the design is not going to work and it should be redesigned; an up-charge for rush printing is cheaper than reprinting it or getting the message completely wrong.
- Be who you want to be. Change takes time. Start today… there’s plenty of time for modifying the behaviors that don’t represent who we want to be, who we aspire to be and who we can be.
Nope, it’s not too late – unless your plane just left…
