As a leader, a coach, or a parent you must teach them and resist the impulse to…
do it for them.
You have to tell them as much as you can, even show them what that means and how to do it. Go step by step, break it down, share the tips and tricks – the things you have learned and they need to take advantage of any and every situation that they can from your experience.
But, you can’t tell them every. little. thing that they will need to know.
After you go through it…they need to find their own experience. Then, go through it on their own and have their own take on it. Start here. What they need to know? Teach them and resist the burning desire to then do it for them. It will matter more when they have their own muscle memory of going through the process. Then, you can show them so much more and they will be able to do. so. much. more on their own.
