Take the Lunch

If asked to make plans, be sure to take the lunch appointment – the one where you share a meal (not just work through.)

  • Have more casual conversations.
  • See how they interact with the wait staff.
  • Get an idea of their preferences.
  • Learn more about them – overall – personal life, family, hobbies.
  • Share your insights.
  • Be able to debate and have an open dialogue.
  • Engage in new ways.

My recommendation is to never skip a meal, and to take the lunch – at your favorite spot or theirs – even better yet, find a new spot that neither of you know and you will both have the opportunity to try something new.
