Each year, we start the season earlier and earlier…and there’s not much we can do about it.

The spirit is strong. People are pulled to celebrate – and while I think it should be one holiday at a time – Christmas is a far better holiday than Thanksgiving.

Don’t get me wrong, I like mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and pumpkin pie – turkey, too (even better leftover the next day on a roll with butter and cranberry sauce.) Time with family. A few days off from the necessary work. We can even put away the harvest themed decor.

But, Christmas.

• Peace.
• Love.
• Joy.
• Family.
• Friends.
• All of this and more.

Have fun, whatever you are doing, it really is the very best holiday.

Yesterday, today, or tomorrow…we can choose the best date to start the season in your heart and in your house. For us, it was today – walking, under the lights and singing carols. There was even a little bit of “snow” to enjoy.
