Please Read It

Before you send your entire data base of customers your holiday promotion, please read it. Then, have someone else read it. Send it to yourself in a test email (you are using an email provider such as Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, right?)

Then, read it one more time to find any and all errors you may have made. It’s easier than answering customers questions, giving deals you didn’t intend to offer or losing a customer because you can’t honor the deal. It’s also better than sending out an “Oops” email to let them know to “read this one instead”.

If you don’t have someone who can do that for you, find someone. Or, ask me, I’d be happy to double check it for you. It’s just one of those things I do, too.
