Over Committing

No time better, than the end of the year, for over committing your time.

From client projects to dinners and events out late at night, there are a lot of things that you will say yes to doing; all the while, knowing that there will be a serious struggle to meet those agreements, commitments and schedules.

Sometimes, it is just less sleep. Maybe it is saying no to a bite out at the cafe for lunch. Perhaps, you have to rush when you want to take your time to be ready for the day and have a second cup of coffee, let alone a full first cup.

There is probably not much that I like less than getting up early but then still being late; rushing through personal, preferred routines. It is what we do in order to make up for over committing your schedule. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, or many lights. New clients who are happy with the work you’ve done. Taking extra time off for the holidays, which I did last week and I plan to do at the end of the year, too. Doing special things with the kids with the extra income during their vacation time – all around good stuff.
