What happens when things are out of stock?

Customers …

choose something else.

buy everything but that item.

change their mind.

leave empty handed.

complain to the person who can’t control it.

ask for a discount.

get mad.

It isn’t impossible to control an out of stock, but it is possible to direct the narrative. Stay in tune with what the customers want and how to direct them to proactively choose something else. Do your best to keep ‘em coming back.
