Notice the Little Things

If you make the time to notice the little things, it becomes easier to spot the wonderful moments in life, and to be re-inspired about making the life around us that much better.

Listening to a podcast today reminded me of a popular concept; one that many people live by, or at least say when asked how they approach life…

Work hard. Play hard.

There are many variations, in between and beyond that statement. Many are even longer quotes or philosophical statements than that one, but they still speak to the same concept.

If you stop to think about it, one actually allows for the other and vice versa.

If you work alot, and feel more compelled to work even more, you may forget to take the time to play.

  • Refresh.
  • Recharge.
  • Relax.

Take the time to open your mind to new thoughts, new creativity and non-pressured inspiration. Look around and see the bigger picture.

Be sure to step back. Then, (even) when you see something that is so amazing and wonderful right there, in front of you – you might not take the time to notice the little things. Still they are there, just waiting to be seen, discovered, heard, designed, written or invented.

PS Like this little guy for example. This whole pond was just there for him – not for me – but, I think I may have enjoyed it even more than he was today.
