Birthdays are not quite right unless you have more cake than you have people at the party.

Ever notice though, how no matter how much you have, even too little of something, there will always be leftovers. The people around the table taking slightly less, just so that someone else can have more (if they want it.)

No worries though.

It will work out.

Leftover sweets for your breakfast the next day sort of make up for it not being “your day” anymore. Even if you have already celebrated multiple days in a row and not just because it is the weekend and not just because it is summer break, but because you are special and people love you.

It is perfect to have much more cake than you need and to be able to share it with many (many) others with just one last piece to savor tomorrow.
