Was the rain always like this? It seems louder than ever.

I am sure that it is the same, but the new drainage system we just installed – aka our new, larger, wide resolution rain gutters – are crazy loud.

Maybe it is like the car sounds, the ones you want to ignore. You know, when you just close the windows and turn up the radio. Tada. Problem solved…

Right?

Nope.

I closed the windows the other day to try to drown (no pun intended) out the sound, but it was still pretty bad. Maybe I will have to find another solution, like thicker curtains or a white noise machine.

Or, just let time go by – like with the train on the other side of town – and, we will barely hear it anymore.

Who knew after all these years in this old house, and the kids growing up, that life would become louder than ever. I guess, if I have to have it one way or another I will take the noise because it comes with a whole lot of other good and positive things.
