More than just a casual saying…keep in touch means:

• I’d like to hear from you
• Let me know when you are available (for lunch, dinner or a get together)
• I am not ready yet, but I will be soon
• Let’s stay connected
• I’m not sure, but let me learn more
• Let us know what you are doing we want to know!

Keep in touch is definitely a flexible term that allows you to define what it means to you. Make sure you understand what they mean when they say it. You might not actually know.
