Heights can be dizzying.
They didn’t used to be for me, but for many they are.
I could ride the fasted, twisty, turn-upside-down roller coasters, frontwards, backwards. No problem.
Rock climbing. 50′ maybe more.
Stand in the window of a 15 story building. Lean out over the edge and look down, all 15-flights.
Not anymore.
Thinking about spending a quarter of a million dollars on a college education, not only dizzying, but a real gut twisting thought. Today I stood on the edge of the 4th floor “double helix” spiral staircase and looked down at our 17 year old daughter – as she contemplates her future – being dizzy doesn’t begin to describe the feeling.
