It is a relatively mild evening, even for December, just north of Philadelphia and tonight – like many others, but not nearly enough – there are big bright stars in the sky…
At least there were.
They have gone over the horizon now, only to be seen again tomorrow evening if the weather is kind to us.
It is all we can hope for isn’t it – for the fates to be kind – and to enjoy the moments we have in the minds and in the vision of others.
We have lost some big bright stars this week and it is with more than a little sadness, some surprise and a knowledge that Carrie and George are not the only ones to be ready to leave this world. We say good bye the only way we can – with the hope that someone is there to fill the void and with the knowledge that we have our memories. May they be plenty and may they be strong, vivid memories – for years and years and years to come.
