Things That Bother Us

The things that bother us are at some times common and others, disparate.

  • The way someone may pronounce certain, common words.
  • A random hair that falls in front of a face – could be yours, could be theirs.
  • Lists of tasks left undone.
  • Time spent on projects that never turn into something of merit.
  • The roll going over, or under.
  • Cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling, or dust in the corner of the floor.
  • Slightly crunchy versus over toasted.
  • Music, fragrances, colors on walls or even a pair of socks.

Funny enough, over time your perspective may change. What was a problem, is not any longer.

As we get more familiar, there is a likelihood that there will be both more and less things that bother us. It is related to tolerance, or lack thereof as well as habit, familiarity and how much time you have to pay careful attention. The reality is, however, in most of these cases, there is no finite, absolute and correct answer. It is merely an opinion and therefore open to debate.
