Ever figure out that something you thought was naturally occurring was totally crafted by professionals?

Kinda disappointing.

It was so much better to think that it was organic and uniquely created. Not actually scripted, with a cast of actors (characters) and then produced.

Never thought of it this way to be honest.

Even years later, bringing the idea to mind that two individuals came together of their own volition is better. It was (intuited) that they were FOUND online and then – based on already having a lot of followers – were raised up through the channels to make a hit show. Which…gained even more followers.

(Eventually) the show earned a federally registered trademark.

While the two main characters don’t own that, they do get some credit. They kept it going for over a decade; I think it was 14 seasons. Collectively, they had a big role in designing the story lines, but for the most part it was totally crafted. A director, a television channel and funded by someone who (probably) made far more on the show than they invested in it at the start. It was a gamble and it paid off, but wouldn’t have been so much cooler if it had just happened and someone was filming it? (Oh, wait. That is what we have now…or, is it?)
