They Had to Work for It

Back in 1776, those founding fathers, they had to work for it

  • debating.
  • editing.
  • discussing the merits of one word or another.
  • elaborating on why they wanted to include each specific phrase.
  • fighting with their words (first) for the freedom from the oppressive government that ruled over the land.

So. Yes. All those years ago…243 to be precise, they were all involved, working hard to make it happen. And, yes, they had to work for it, but so do we – to keep the document, the laws and the intent in place for our future, for our children and for this land that we love.
