When the kids are on stage they are supposed to focus on the show… smile, yes – smile and wave, not so much.
We are supposed to just be on all the time, serious, happy, sad…whatever the story calls for in the script.

In drama often it isn’t possible to be a kid. This show, allowed them to do both. As part of the show.

Which for a junior performance is totally kind. The parents and family are so proud, why shouldn’t they be able to smile and wave – acknowledging the commitment of both sides of the child/parent relationship and making mom and dad smile, too.
