If we were to use the pure definition each time we spoke, the magic would be lost. 

The nuance
The art
The creativity
The muse
The interpretation
The craft

It would take us far more time to convey what we want. Then again, maybe we need to take a little more time. Stop abbreviating and using emojis to convey what we want to say. 

That doesn't leave anything up to interpretation now does it?

There is more than the science behind the words we use, whether they are spoken or written (in text, print, cursive, or an elaborate calligraphy.) 

There is the art of it. The very essence of our history, experiences and common ground that make those words we use mean far more than their pure definition. Don't believe me? Try it next time and see what happens.
