Pay yourself first.

Old advice, often given, still applies. Maybe just with some modern twists.

Of course, saving for the future, for holidays and for a rainy day is still valid today.

But, also…

• Take vacation.
• Go home for dinner.
• Sleep in on weekends.
• Laugh more.
• Choose not to reply “immediately” if not “urgent”.
• Most of it is not urgent.
• Send less e-mail … get less back.
• Take the days off you need.
• Spend time with family.
• Be good to yourself.
• Make more memories.

So…how will you decide to pay yourself first in today’s modern era?
