I am not yet, but soon I will be ready for Christmas.

This week was a kick off to the (what I will call pre-season) with house tours and light show previews – all for a good cause. These local companies, organizations, non-profits, volunteers and home owners who give their time, energy, work, and homes for a good cause are amazing. We can’t thank you enough and we are happy to donate and contribute to admire, applaud and recognize your good deeds.

But.

I am not ready for Christmas. We still have mums and pumpkins and leaves…I am making lists and have plans for gifts – we will support the local retailers, restaurants AND service based businesses, too.

Yes! I am going to be ready…just, not yet, but soon enough we will have cold weather, crisp mornings and we will want to think towards snowy landscapes, evergreen wreathes and families getting ready to visit us from far and near. Only a couple more weeks and we should be good. Until then, it is time for turkey and stuffing and family gatherings; cooking for days and eating too much. One holiday at a time. Let’s enjoy the season at hand. Thanksgiving is next.
