It is always ironic when people realize how their love tends to last longer in their heart than it does in their rational mind.

You know what I mean…you don’t want to love them, because of something that they did to you, or to your kids, but you cannot help but still care for them. It is irrational but still true.

This is our human nature;  seeking out ways to forgive and hopefully to forget…especially if we need to say good bye to someone.

If your sad good bye is through death, rather than divorce, the love tends to last far longer than you would have thought it ever could. Sorry for your loss dear friend. I hope that the memories of all the good times outweigh and outlast the sadness and the hurt and you can instead have only good memories for the rest of your days.
