Have Patience

Good advice? Remind yourself, or others, to have patience.

Remind your own self – because you are human. You are not perfect and you will make mistakes.

Remind others around you – because, they too are human and we definitely don’t know what they’re going through…today, or yesterday or coming up soon.

Start with the ones closest to you…

  • from clients to neighbors.
  • and colleagues and friends.
  • as well as your kids, parents, siblings and pets.

Sure. Those are all expected.

But, you especially need to have patience with people you don’t know. The retail and restaurant workers, the ones who pick up your trash or clean your house. The ones who process your water and electric bill, or check your blood pressure when you go to the doctor. In life, as a best practice you should exhibit more calm, stress-free and controlled moments than we probably all do. Let’s work on that. Together. If we all worked on this – we probably would have fewer moments when we had to remind ourselves to take a step back, count to 3 or 10 or 100 and life would be better.
