As kids age they actually do get better at following rules.

Pick up after yourself

Make your bed

Laundry in the hamper

Clear your plate

Help around the house

Make their own breakfast, or lunch and assist with family dinner prep

Getting along with their siblings

It’s all a matter of time and yep, it’s a process but things do get better and a whole lot easier, too. Hang in there summer moms and dads – it will be back to school before you know it! …and believe it or not you will miss them one day.
