Celebrate Early

Some towns, when it comes to Halloween, celebrate early by moving the annual ritual of trick-or-treating to the weekend prior.

How they do this, I am not sure.

Parents and children have to adopt a new holiday date to fulfill this edit.

They have to suspend the belief that Halloween occurs on a date that is other than October 31st each year.

It seems unrealistic to me that this is just – oh, so easily…accepted.

Halloween is one day a year, the same day annually and no other.

All of this said, of course, it is totally acceptable to celebrate early whenever you want. Have a party, visit the farm, or spend time at the annual harvest festival. Do what you like, just don’t let anyone tell you the holiday is any other day than when it really is.
