In the world of online ordering, e-mail, app based reservations, sometimes, you just need to call and ask if there is an opening.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love technology that makes things faster, more efficient, takes up less time for staff…
But.
Sometimes tech doesn’t work the way it needs to work.
What if you need (or want) to:
- Book two appointments at a time.
- Book more than 4 or 6 people at a restaurant.
- Book using a gift certificate.
- Book for a time and date more than 2 weeks out.
- Book for a facial and a massage.
- Book a multi-part pick up and catering order for an item that can be paid for with loyalty point credits.
So many different variations that the systems can’t always handle…but, you know what – a human can handle it. When you call and ask for help, say please and thank you just to remind them that you are also, quite human yourself.
